Hello 3rd trimester!!

I cannot believe I am in my 3rd trimester! I am so excited for the next few months... Showers, holidays, Fall, nice weather, then Ellison will be here! I want to enjoy these last few months... Being pregnant, just me and Steve loving our time together... But I am also super ready and excited for her to be here! I just want to know what she looks like... Or who she looks like! It's going to be incredible!

Anyways... I had my 28 week doctors appointment on Thursday. I asked dad to come and hear her heartbeat (mom is probably coming next appointment if she can get off work) and so he came... And  it was very sweet!! My midwife played her heartbeat for a long time and it was just the sweetest, dad loved it! Here are a few pictures of us at the appointment because dad loves taking pics of everything... :)

The appointment went really well. I am measuring right on track and her heartbeat was nice and strong. I confirmed that I am indeed allowed to take tums because the heartburn at night has been AWFUL! Thank the Lord for Tums and that they work so well! I have to take them every night before bed or I will wake up with the most awful heartburn! The only thing that wasn't too exciting about my appointment was my iron was on the low side! Urgh. She gave me some iron supplements and called in a prescription for them because she said it will get worse as Ellison grows so we have to supplement it now just to keep it a little higher than it is. Oh well, if that's the worst thing that's happened this pregnancy, I consider myself blessed! Thank you, Jesus! Oh and I have officially moved up to doctors appointments every 2 weeks instead of every 4 weeks... So crazy and exciting! :)

Oh we also painted the nursery this past week.... Well when I say "we" I actually mean "Steve". Haha! He is such a sweet and hardworking hubby! He stayed up late one night and I woke up to it all finished and the furniture all set up in the room! :) I will post pictures when it is all finished... But I will give you a hint... Think PINK! :) It turned out so pretty and I am excited about the finished product! Thankful to have my own personal interior decorator, Lauren, to help with all of it because it overwhelms me! Eek! :) so so thankful for her and her amazing talents!

How far along? 28 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Same - maternity pants and mostly maternity shirts or regular flowy shirts I have had.
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: It's been okay... I can't complain!
Best moment this week: The freshly painted nursery, a good doctor's appointment with my dad, also seeing my Aunt Donna when she came in town last weekend! :)
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Being able to do what I want physically instead of worrying about this big belly getting in the way or getting sore from walking too much!
Movement: She started this new thing which I have loved... She sticks her booty out so my belly gets all weird looking and it's really hard where her booty sticks out. So cute and neat to experience!
Food cravings: I am for sure loving my sweets again! Oh Nooo!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really!
Have you started to show yet: HA! Yes!
Gender:  Girly girl!
Labor Signs: No way - thankfully!
Belly Button in or out? Out... Even shows in pictures now! Ahh!
Wedding rings on or off? Off right now.. Not because of swelling but because all of a sudden it's irritating my skin! It's really red and itchy and I can't wear it or it happens again! :( I feel so weird without it on... Especially being pregnant!! :-/
Happy or Moody most of the time: Pretty happy!!! :)
Weekly Wisdom: not really anything, just be thankful for the many undeserving blessings the Lord has given you! Trying to remind myself of this everyday. I am so undeserving!
Looking forward to: showers and FALL!

26 weeks and feeling it...

SO I feel like I hit a brick wall, people! Ever since 25 weeks came it's just been kinda rough. I had a cold last week which was not fun. I have had awful heartburn, mostly at night... that can be cured with a couple Tums which I am thankful for. I just feel big. My belly is not supposed to be this huge at this point, I still have 14 weeks to go... I guess she really is going to be a 9 lb baby! Steve and I were both 9 lbs. so I figure she is bound to be close to it! I have had two people ask me when I am due and when I say December, they say "Ohhhhhh, you have a while to go...." while looking at my belly. REALLY? Thanks... that's a way to make a preggo feel good! Oh well...

Thankfully my sciatic nerve pain has really let up - I still have to be extra careful turning my body and getting up at times, but it is SO much better! I found out that I passed my glucose test which is amazing!! Basically, if you don't know, that means I don't have gestational diabetes. I was super nervous that I might have it because women with PCOS are more likely to get it. Praise the Lord that I don't have to take another LONGER test and that I don't have gestational diabetes! Answer to prayer for sure!

Steve and I at our friends, Ward and Audra's wedding at 25 weeks

We went to our friend's wedding a little over a week ago. It was very pretty and we had a great time.  I loved all the details that were put in place, Audra did a great job planning her beautiful day! I love going to weddings because it takes me back 5 years ago to when we got married. It always makes me feel so thankful for the love we still share for each other after 5 years - actually we love each other even more, which I am so thankful for!!! God is so good to give us the gift of marriage - it is amazing!

We got our glider in for Ellison's nursery which is SUPER exciting! It is so comfy and I am so grateful that my parents offered to pitch in some of the money for it. They are the best! I can't wait to hold and rock our sweet little girl in a few months! The nursery is slowly but surely coming together. My sweet friend Jolynn is making the bedding - I finally got her all the fabric so she will be starting on that soon! WOO! I got the window panel in - can't wait to hang that! I am getting the furniture painted right now and it will be ready Friday! EEK! Too fun! Still a long ways to go before it is finished though.

I think that's about it for now...  I will leave you with a 26 week pic...
