24 weeks... Eek!!

Wow! In some ways, I can't believe I am already 24 weeks, but in others I CANNOT WAIT for December to be here and it feels like it's years away! I haven't posted in a few weeks... shocker. I just can't get in the routine, oh well. This past week was a huge milestone because I completed my glucose test! WOOO!! I don't know whether or not I passed yet, but I am just happy because it wasn't nearly as bad as I made it up to be in my head - imagine that! I had prepared myself mentally for it for weeks and when I got there, the nurse said "You are two days shy of 24 weeks, they are really strict in doing the glucose test between 24 and 28 weeks." I was like "SERIOUSLY?! TWO DAYS?! Please go talk to someone and let me do this and get it over with!" Thankfully, she came back and said that I could go ahead and do it. WHEW! My amazing mother-in-law came with me to hear Ellison's heartbeat, which was perfect since I had to wait an hour after drinking the drink to get my blood taken. It was so sweet, she even teared up when she heard the heartbeat. So thankful for her. But anyways, that was pretty much the big event that has gone down in the last couple weeks. Everything is going really well - my sciatic nerve decided to start bothering me a couple weeks ago, which was seriously so painful, but it has let up some so praise the Lord for that! OH and also, I ordered the fabric for the crib skirt and bumpers... it came in and it is SO cute! I am so excited! My precious friend Jolynn is going to sew it for me! What a great friend - I am so excited, she does like everything and is a mom of "almost" 4... due in November. Amazes me!!! Alrighty, I guess that's it for now... hoping to update sooner than 3 weeks from now! HA!

How far along? 24 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Same - maternity pants and mostly maternity shirts or regular flowy shirts I have had.

Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: Not too good - but that's part of it I suppose :)

Best moment this week: Finishing the dreaded glucose test!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Being more flexible - like getting out of bed easily and chasing my hubby around the house...HA... last night he was running from me and it was really pitiful.. probably mostly from my back pain, but still!
Movement: She moves all the time! Last night I seriously think she was having a dance party in my belly... it was insane! Some of the stronger movements freak me out a little to be honest! eek!
Food cravings: Not really - just the same type of stuff I have wanted throughout my pregnancy. I like orange juice a lot more than I do normally. I DID get to finally have a snowcone that I have been craving for weeks at the Pigs and Peaches festival we went to in Kennesaw this past weekend! WOO!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really!

Have you started to show yet: Just look at the pic above and you tell me! :)
Gender:  Girly girl!
Labor Signs: No way - thankfully!
Belly Button in or out? Pretty much out - not fully, but I would say it's about there. CRAZY!
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Pretty happy!!! :)

Weekly Wisdom: Don't freak out about the glucose test like I did... it really is not that bad.
Looking forward to: Decorating the nursery!!!

Hello 21 weeks!

Forgot to post this a week ago...

Well, we hit 21 weeks. It has been a great pregnancy so far. The only thing that has really bothered me lately is my lower back. I am hopefully going to see my chiropractor this week so I am praying that will ease the pain. Other than that, I am feeling great and really enjoying feeling Ellison move more and more. The movements are more like kicks and movements rather than little flutters, which is so crazy! To say it hasn't freaked me out a few times would be a lie. It's just such a different feeling, but so amazing!! We were finally able to get most of our registry done now that we know for sure she is a girl! :) It was fun but totally overwhelming! Thankfully, I had my friend, Jolynn who is pregnant with her FOURTH child to help - that was MUCH needed! Thankful to be pregnant at the same time as her so I can make sure all my symptoms are normal or if I am just going crazy! :) haha! I guess that's all for now, I will leave you with my big belly pic...

How far along? 21 Weeks
Maternity clothes? Maternity pants FOR SURE.. Mostly my regular shirts... Just bought some maternity shirts after a minor break down which makes me feel better! :)
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: About the same... It has gotten easier to sleep on my side... Still not my fav though.

Best moment this week: Feeling our baby girl kick waaay more. It seems more real now!
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Probably just being able to eat whatever without having to think if it is safe for pregnancy and lifting up from  laying down easily... Same.
Movement: She has been moving like crazy! She kicks off and on throughout the day and night. I can even feel her from the outside. Steve has yet to feel her with his hands but she DID kick him in the head when he put it on my tummy, which was funny!
Food cravings: Italian dressing, chobani yogurt... Pretty much anything with a salty/bitter taste. Same!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Overall, not really. Just have to remember to eat regularly and some foods turn me off at times.

Have you started to show yet: Yes! For sure! No doubt about it!
Gender prediction: We know, GIRL!
Labor Signs: No way
Belly Button in or out? In but just barely... I think it's going to be an outtie by the end of this... Or even in the next few weeks! Crazyyy! Same.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I have the 2nd trimester happiness I think! :) Overall, pretty happy!
Weekly Wisdom: Do not find out the sex early!! Just wait until 20 weeks at the doctor! Haha! (Same... not much wisdom from this week)
Looking forward to: Steve actually feeling her move! Hopefully going to the chiropractor so my back won't hurt so bad!! :(
